Credit memos

Credit memos

Credit memos are a short name of credit memorendoms.
Credit memos are record if the customer don,t want to pay the whole amount written in invoice.
To record the credit memos in peachtree open the peachtree company and click on the task in menu bar.




By clicking on credit memos a window will appear .





In this window we have
Customer id : select the customer you want to send memo.
Credit no : give credit no. to your customer
Date : enter the date of which you enter memo.
Customer PO : enter purchase order no. if we have.
Quantity : enter the quantity
Item : enter the item for we record a memo.
Unit price : enter unit price at we sell items previously





When your customer purchase order on credit and give you a invoice that will automatically reduce the amount in peachtree record.

set up of a new company

How to set up of a new company


1st open peachtree by double clicking. This window will appear.




Click on set up of a new company. This window will appear




Click on next .this window will appear.





In this add company name. address line of your company . another address if exist. City, state, zip code and telephone no. etc
And then click on next button this window will appear





Click on build your own company and click next . this window will appear.






In which we show the accounting method we want to use in our company. And then click on next button. This window will appear .





In this we select the posting method of entries. And click on next button.




In this we select the accounting period we want to chose. And click on next. Another window will appear.




In this window we select the date of that period we are making entries for.
And click on next. Another window of congratulations will appear.







Now click on finish button and your new company is set.

GLOBAL OPTION

GLOBAL OPTION

1ST open the peachtree and click in options in menu bar.




Click in global button. This window will appear.






The picture below at point 1 you can select the automatic or manual system for the decimals and from the point 2 you can change the decimals as required e.g. 1 2 3 or 5.




There are 2 option in this picture;

·       Hide general ledger accounts.
·       Other options
Hide general ledger accounts:
If you want to hide the accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll entry uncheck these option
Other options:
     In this you can see many other options as hide inactive records , and get a warning message if some record change but not saved.




In next tab General we have
·       Improve performance
·       Line item entry display
·       Smart data entry
·       Color scheme
We can have these changes by selecting general tab




Next is
peachtree partners:
       in this we can check the security level of peachtree partners



And last is
Spelling:
       In which we can have 2 options
·       Peachtree spell check
·       Spell check option

General Journal Entries

General Journal Entries

General journal entries are use to enter each transaction of business into an accounting  system.the increase or decrease of amounts and by what amount the transaction is entered.
1st click on task in peachtree menu bar.





Then click on general journal entries.
This window will appear .




In this window you can see
Date : at what date you make an entry
Reference : in this you add the reference on entry .
GL account : in which you add the entry for what general ledger account entry made.
Description : add the description detail about entry.
Debit : add what amount is debit.
Credit : add what amount is credited.
           The debit and credit amount should be same.
Job : for what job you add the transaction

Click on save button.

How to assemble inventory

How to assemble inventory

1st we open peachtree and then click on task in menu bar this window will appear





After this in menu click on assemblies
This window will appear






In this window we have :

Item ID : in which add the id of that item we assemble.
Name : name of item that assemble
Date : at what date we assemble
Quantity to build : how much quantity is needed to build the item
Reason to build : add the reason why we assemble the items.

And then click on save in top of window

HOW TO PURCHASE ORDER.


PURCHASE ORDER

From this we can enter a purchase order from vendor. In peachtree we can place order to vendor for material we want to purchase.

ENTERING THE ORDER:
1.     In peachtree click on task in top of page
                                    






2.     Click on purchase order in task







3.     This window will appear of purchase order.








4.     Enter  the vendor id if you have already saved in list by clicking on look button and if you don,t saved any vendor yet make a new vendor account by double clicking on vendor name a new window of vendor will appear as we told you before in MAINTAIN VENDOR ACCOUNT .








5.     In date field enter the of order and the date of good thru
Date mean the date of order
Good thru means last date at we want to reacieve our order we made.






6.     In PO NO.: add the purchase order no





 

7.     Enter the quantity , items , description , unit price, GL account  in their fields
   

                               





8.     Click on save .

MAINTAIN INVENTORY ITEMS


MAINTAIN INVENTORY ITEMS

In maintain inventory items peach tree maintain the quantity of item you sell or buy.
To maintain click on maintain and then on inventory items








Following window will appear..









Enter the item id and following information which is required and then click on ALT+S to save the information.

Item head :
Enter an id of 20 alphanumeric characteristics. the id case is sensitive issue so B1 or b1 is taking as diffirent no.

Description:
It is a short description that show the nature of item.






Back and next button:
These buttons are use to see back item and next item we enter .
Item class:
in item class we show the type of items e.g stock item , non stock item ,service , labor etc







General :
In general we have
Description:
The  description which show that what we doing purchase or sale?







Price level :
 Show the price level we set for purchase or sale.

Item tax type:
It show the tax type is it taxable or exempt.

Last unit cost:
It shows the cost of last unit of sale.
Cost method:
What is cost method applying LIFO , FIFO, AVERAGE.
Gl sales account ,gl inventory accounts , GL cost of sales accounts :
 we see what type of accounts is using

item type:
we see the item type.
Location:
It shows the location of item where we buy orsale the item.
Unit/measure:
In what unit we measure .
Weight:
What is the weight og item.
Preferred vendor id:
In which we show the vendor id we prefer for makin sale or purchase.
Buyer id:
In this we show the buyer id no.who buy items from us.


Customer field:
In customer field we show another vendor id if required one is not available ,substitution and special comments etc.








History:

In history we show our old post of sales and purchase at what cost we sale and at what price we purchase item .
